Editorial Policy

How we research, source and correct our work

The Singapore Best separates independent editorial decisions from commercial relationships. Advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners do not get to rewrite independent articles or buy a positive recommendation.

Sourcing and verification

For time-sensitive facts such as dates, opening hours, transport changes, promotions and ticket information, we prioritise primary sources such as official venue, government, organiser or merchant pages. When a strong secondary source adds useful context, we identify it in the article's source list.

First-hand experience and reviews

We do not claim to have visited, bought or tested something unless that work was actually carried out and documented. Research-based guides are described as research-based. If hands-on testing or an on-site review is introduced, the article should explain the methodology, relevant limitations and whether products, tickets or meals were supplied.

Corrections and updates

We update articles when material facts change. Where appropriate, the page displays an updated date. Readers can report an error at corrections@thesingaporebest.com.

Sponsored and affiliate content

Paid partnerships are clearly labelled as Sponsored or Partner Content. Affiliate relationships are disclosed where they appear. Commercial links do not remove our obligation to describe the underlying facts accurately.

Editorial illustrations

Some article visuals are AI-generated editorial images created for illustration. They are identified in the image credit and should not be interpreted as documentary photographs of a specific event, restaurant or attraction.
